Stations of The Cross

It was a beautiful day to be starting Stations of the Cross. We had a variety of roles , I was Mary, Jesus’ mother. Feeling nervous, all the classes had come together as one, sitting and watching us. The Stations of the Cross was to show the young ones what Jesus went through to save us from our sins.

It showed that He truly cared for us as well as He loved us. This play was important for everyone to see that we should live a sacramental life. The empathy people must feel. Jesus was in a lot of pain, stumbling, falling by the weight of the cross, being tortured by soldiers. This message was very heartfelt for me.

During our play it was time for Jesus to be crucified. It was a sad moment for the whole school to see. I went up to Jesus to mourn for all my sorrows, I brought Veronica as support.

At the end of the play, one of my classmates sang, ‘Were you There’.

It was beautiful and solemn. The whole school was silent walking back to class.

Lenten Backpack

This backpack has all the items that I need. They are all important to me and it’s useful for many things. One of the items that are in my bag is glasses. They are very useful when I can’t see something or someone from afar. I have my bible with me because I feel like it gives me protection. I have food and water to keep me healthy and hydrated.

The backpack is the most useful of them all. It carries all my belongings and items stored that could be life saving. I show gratitude for everything that I have earned or things that I have received as a gift.
